Armenia is interested in the continuation of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), stated the country's Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan:
"We do not want the EAEU to collapse. We want it to remain as a structure. We think about the EAEU because it is our organization," said Papoyan to reporters:

Since the end of May, Russia has been gradually imposing restrictions on the supply of several types of products from Armenia, explaining this by violations of phytosanitary requirements:
The restrictions have affected floral products, mineral water, and some types of alcoholic beverages, vegetables, fruits, berries, grapes, potatoes, dried fruits, later — live fish and fish products, and as of July 27 — dairy products:
The restrictions also include a ban on the transit of Armenian-origin products through the territory of Russia to other EAEU countries:
