Seizing another country's assets to pay future claims is a dangerous precedent. This was stated by Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on his X page:
“Seizing another country's assets to pay future claims is a dangerous precedent. Those who welcome or profit from such measures should remember: once governments normalize confiscation, no one's assets will be safe. The ensuing chaos will be neither beautiful nor peaceful,” wrote Araghchi.
