The Armenian football club ‘Noah’ has issued an official statement:
“Dear football fans,
Today we have written to the Football Federation of Armenia expressing our concerns regarding the broadcasting of the Armenian Premier League.
While we await an official response, the Premier League match is being broadcast even without a commentator:
Below is a shortened version of our letter.
“We find it unacceptable that the new season of the Armenian Premier League has started without an official broadcaster, while clubs have not received any official notification or clarification regarding this matter. This is a serious issue not only for fans but also for clubs that invest billions of drams in the development of Armenian club football and have taken on clear obligations to their sponsors and partners.
The broadcasting issue is not only related to the media sector. It directly affects the commercial value of the league, sponsor visibility, fan engagement, as well as the effective operation of the VAR system and, consequently, the quality of refereeing decisions. It is particularly concerning that the Armenian Premier League still lacks a title sponsor.
In light of the above, we request clarification on:
- Why did the Armenian Premier League season start without an official broadcaster?
- What steps have already been taken to resolve the issue?
- What is the action plan of the Football Federation of Armenia to ensure stable, professional, and quality broadcasting of the league?
- What timelines are envisaged for the final resolution of the issue?
Clubs continue to invest in the development of Armenian football and expect the same level of responsibility, transparency, and strategic approach from the Football Federation of Armenia.”
