A phone conversation took place between Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
According to the information provided by the Prime Minister's Office to Armenpress, the interlocutors exchanged views on the agenda of Armenian-Russian relations, particularly on the issues arising in bilateral economic relations.
Prime Minister Pashinyan emphasized that restrictions on the export of Armenian-origin goods to the Russian market contradict the legal framework of Armenian-Russian relations and the regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union, and requested measures to resolve these issues.
Regarding the issue of holding a referendum in Armenia on joining the European Union, as mentioned in the joint statement of the leaders of the four EAEU member countries on May 29 this year, Prime Minister Pashinyan noted that holding a referendum is practically possible only after Armenia officially applies to the European Union for membership and makes the topic substantive.
At the same time, Prime Minister Pashinyan emphasized the readiness of the Government of Armenia to address the mentioned issues through open, partnership, and friendly dialogue.
