Moody’s Ratings has reaffirmed UniBank's long-term deposit rating at B1, as well as the bank's b2 Baseline Credit Assessment (BCA) and Adjusted BCA ratings. At the same time, the agency has upgraded the outlook for UniBank's long-term deposit rating from 'Stable' to 'Positive'.
The 'Positive' outlook reflects improvements in the operational environment in Armenia, which could positively impact the bank's BCA ratings and overall ratings. The reaffirmation of UniBank's b2 BCA and Adjusted BCA ratings is attributed to the high quality of the bank's assets, stable profitability, and limited dependence on more unstable funding sources.
According to Moody’s, Armenia's long-term growth potential has been strengthened by stable capital investments that contribute to productivity growth and enhance the economy's resilience to external shocks.
