According to data published by the Statistical Committee of Armenia, as of the end of May 2026, the volume of loans issued by Armenian credit organizations amounted to 444,550 million drams (444.6 billion). Compared to the comparable figure from 2025, the volume of loans increased by 59,225 million drams or 15.4%.
In particular, 34,841 million drams were issued to non-residents, while 409,709 million drams were issued to residents.
20.5% of the loans issued to residents, or 84,056 million drams, are foreign currency loans, the volume of which increased by 33.8% compared to the end of May 2025.
79.5% of the loans, or 325,652 million drams, are in Armenian drams, the volume of which increased by 16% compared to the end of May 2025.
