On July 10, Armenia's Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan met with the head of the World Bank Office in Armenia, Fabrizio Zarcuni. During the meeting, they discussed the progress of the Tourism and Regional Infrastructure Improvement Program (TRIP). The parties emphasized the initiative's role in developing tourism and modernizing regional infrastructure, agreeing to continue close cooperation to ensure the effective and timely implementation of planned activities.
The TRIP program aims to invest 120 million euros in the development of tourism clusters in Goris, Areni, Jermuk, Yeghgis, Dvin, Gyumri, and Dilijan. The program aims to promote the development of wine, spa, adventure, cultural, educational, and eco-tourism, enhancing Armenia's tourism appeal and the competitiveness of its regions.
