Rosselkhoznadzor has blocked the import of flowers of Armenian origin from Belarus, which were accompanied by forged documents:
According to the official statement, on July 23, a large batch of fresh cut roses imported from Armenia was destroyed in the Smolensk region under the supervision of Rosselkhoznadzor. This action was taken due to gross violations of the rules for importing regulated products into Russia:
It is noted that on June 18, agency inspectors, together with employees of the Smolensk customs, suspended the movement of a batch consisting of 39,200 flowers:
The vehicle transporting the cargo was driven by a Belarusian citizen, and the transportation was carried out from the Minsk region to Moscow. However, the transporter declared the cargo in the accompanying documents as non-alcoholic tonic beverages:
“During the inspection of the cargo compartment, flowers were found that lacked the necessary phytosanitary and transportation documents. The preserved markings indicated that the product originated from Armenia:
On June 12, 2026, Rosselkhoznadzor imposed temporary restrictions on the import of regulated products originating from Armenia and dispatched from there, as well as on transit through its territory:
Due to the ban on the import of such products into the Russian market and the absence of documents confirming their safety and legality of transportation, Rosselkhoznadzor ordered the destruction of this batch of roses:
The transporter was held administratively liable under Article 10.2 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation:
