The export of Armenian agricultural products to Georgia continues to expand. Specifically, on July 27, 29, and 30, the first batch of Armenian agricultural products entered the Georgian market. Further increases in supply volumes are expected. This was reported by the Armenian Embassy in Georgia, without specifying which agricultural products are involved.
“Negotiations on the sale of Armenian fish products in the Georgian market have been successfully completed. High-quality Armenian fish products will also be available to consumers in Georgia,” the embassy stated in a post on its Facebook page.
The Armenian diplomatic mission in Tbilisi assures that it will continue its consistent work aimed at expanding Armenian-Georgian trade and economic cooperation and creating new opportunities for Armenian producers in the Georgian market.
Since the end of April this year, Russia has begun a large-scale phase of economic restrictions against Armenia, further expanding them in May and June. Restrictions or bans were imposed on the import of Armenian mineral water, alcoholic beverages, flowers, fish products, and a number of agricultural products, including fruits, vegetables, and berries, and most recently on the import of dairy products.
Armenia is seeking alternative markets for the sale of these products.
