In January-June 2026, economic activity in Armenia increased by 7.9% year-on-year, following an 8.0% rise in January-May. This is noted in the forecast of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB).
The main contributions came from services (+11.1% year-on-year), construction (+24.5% year-on-year), and industry (+10.8% year-on-year). The dynamics of foreign trade were mixed: imports increased by 4.0% year-on-year, while exports decreased by 6.7%.
The bank's experts expect that high economic activity will be maintained due to internal sources. Their forecast indicates that GDP growth will be 6% in 2026.
