The Minister of Economy of Armenia, Gevorg Papoyan, met with the head of the World Bank's Armenia office, Fabrizio Zarcone, on July 10. During the meeting, they discussed the progress of the Tourism and Regional Infrastructure Improvement Program (TRIP). Both sides emphasized the initiative's role in developing tourism and modernizing regional infrastructure, agreeing to continue close cooperation to ensure the effective and timely implementation of planned activities.
The TRIP program plans to invest 120 million euros for the development of tourist clusters in Goris, Areni, Jermuk, Yeghegis, Dvin, Gyumri, and Dilijan. The program aims to promote the development of wine, health resort, adventure, cultural, educational, and eco-tourism, enhancing Armenia's attractiveness for tourists and the competitiveness of its regions.
