The Armenian government has approved the procedure for registering economic operators for the export of fish and fish products to EU countries, as well as the requirements for fish farming enterprises and production organizations.
These decisions are a strategically important step towards establishing a legal framework for exporting Armenian products to the European Union market and creating new opportunities.
As of March 16, 2025, Armenia has officially received permission to export aquatic cultures, including fish and their products, to EU countries.
A mandatory condition for exporting fish or fish products to EU countries is the registration of economic operators in the EU's Trade Control and Expert System (TRACES).
The establishment of this procedure is an expected and necessary tool for economic operators, allowing them to realize the obtained export permission.
Armenian aquaculture products will have the opportunity to enter the high purchasing power European market.
