The Armenian government has resolved the harvest sales issue — Papoyan

Armenian agricultural products are exported to more than 25 countries

The Minister of Economy of Armenia, Gevorg Papoyan, stated that the government has resolved the issue of harvest sales. He noted that this year, difficulties with the apricot harvest were due to natural conditions, but they have not been lost.

Papoyan also addressed the situation with tomatoes, stating that the products are purchased by processing enterprises, sold in the domestic market, and exported. He assured that four Armenian factories are ready to buy the entire volume of tomatoes intended for processing.

“This year, not a single kilogram of tomatoes will remain in the fields,” he stated. The government intends to support the export of juice products and impose restrictions on the import of tomato paste.

Restrictions on Armenian goods to Russia

Since the end of May, Russia has been gradually introducing restrictions on the supply of certain types of products from Armenia, citing violations of phytosanitary requirements.
