The Chairman of the Armenian Water Committee, Aramazd Galamkaryan, along with committee staff, partners from the Ministry of Environment, the municipality of Yerevan, and the Asian Development Bank (ADB), undertook a familiarization visit to Japan, where the Armenian delegation participated in the experience exchange program "Armenian-Japanese Partnership in Sustainable Lake Management and Sustainable Urban Development".
The visit was organized by the ADB with financial support from the Government of Japan, and on-site, the delegation received assistance from the Infrastructure Development Institute of Japan.
During the visit, the Armenian delegation studied Japan's experience in water resource management and systems, water infrastructure development, wastewater treatment, and sustainable lake conservation.
The Armenian delegation met with representatives of relevant government agencies, local self-government bodies, and specialized organizations in Japan.
