1 billion 150 million drams to be seized in favor of Armenia

Anti-corruption court approves prosecutor's claim

The Anti-Corruption Court has ruled to seize 1 billion 150 million 584 thousand drams from the director of two companies, V.A., in favor of the Republic of Armenia as compensation for damages caused to the state.

The Prosecutor General's Office's State Interests Protection Department filed a lawsuit against V.A. in the Anti-Corruption Court for the recovery of damages amounting to 1 billion 150 million 584 thousand drams.

The basis of the claim was that on March 17, 2026, the first-instance court of general jurisdiction in Yerevan found V.A. guilty of committing an offense under part 3 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code.

Specifically, V.A., being a participant and executive director of two companies, in collusion with a person who actually managed the companies, evaded tax payments totaling 1 billion 150 million 584 thousand drams by including false data in the calculations of income tax and social contributions.
