Armenia's Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, David Khudatyan, is on a working visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran. During the visit, the minister met today with the Vice President of Iran and co-chairman of the Armenia-Iran intergovernmental commission, Seyed Hamid Purmohammadi.
The minister highly appreciated the multifaceted cooperation with Iran. Khudatyan emphasized that for Armenia, it is strategically important to continue developing and expanding relations with Iran.
During the meeting, issues related to the expansion of cooperation and deepening interaction in the field of infrastructure were discussed. Minister Khudatyan highlighted the importance of the construction progress of the Kajaran–Agarak road section, as well as the commencement of the Kajaran tunnel construction, which was initiated during the visit of the Iranian Vice President Seyed Hamid Purmohammadi to Armenia in June.
Vice President of Iran Seyed Hamid Purmohammadi also emphasized the importance of the role of the Armenia-Iran intergovernmental commission in the further development of economic cooperation between the two countries.
