From July 20 to 25, 2026, a delegation led by Armen Kotolyan, head of the Armenian Market Regulatory Authority, visited the Kingdom of Thailand (Bangkok) at the invitation of the Office of the Consumer Protection Board of Thailand (OCPB). During the visit, issues related to consumer rights protection, non-food product safety, market regulation, digitization, e-commerce, the application of new technologies including artificial intelligence, and the development of international cooperation were discussed.
The delegation presented the activities and main directions of the Market Regulatory Authority, while the Thai side shared the work being done in the field of consumer protection and the challenges faced. The parties discussed opportunities for exchanging information on dangerous products, improving risk management systems, developing professional skills, and exchanging experiences.
During the bilateral meeting, the prospects for expanding cooperation between Armenia and Thailand were also addressed, including opportunities to promote the entry of Armenian products into Asian markets.
