On July 21, a meeting took place in Rome between Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia Anushik Avetyan, Director of the Investment Support Center Foundation Gohar Abajyan, and representatives from the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty, and Forestry, including Pietro Mauro, President of Fruitimprese, the national association of fruit and vegetable enterprises, and representatives from the Italian Trade Agency (ITA).
The participants discussed opportunities for developing bilateral cooperation in the agro-food sector between Armenia and Italy. Specifically, they addressed the presentation of Armenian agro-food and food products at international and Italian specialized exhibitions, the establishment of direct connections between Armenian and Italian economic entities, and the procedures and compliance requirements for Armenian products entering the Italian market.
It was agreed to continue sectoral meetings and working contacts to move the discussed initiatives into practical implementation.
