Armenian Ambassador Discusses Prospects for Bilateral Relations with Albanian Parliamentarian

Prospects for the Development of Armenia-Albania Relations Discussed

The Armenian Ambassador to Albania, Tigran Mkrtchyan (residence - Athens), met with the Chairman of the Permanent Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Albanian Parliament, former Foreign Minister Igli Hasani. During the meeting, they discussed the prospects for developing bilateral relations between Armenia and Albania, establishing inter-parliamentary ties, and forming new cooperation formats.

According to the Armenian embassy in Greece, Mkrtchyan thanked Hasani for Albania's support in hosting the summit of the European Political Community in Yerevan and presented the latest events in Armenia's foreign policy agenda, including the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations, and Armenia's European development direction.

Hasani welcomed the initiative to activate inter-parliamentary cooperation, expressing readiness to assist in establishing ties with the relevant committees of the National Assembly of Armenia. He also emphasized the importance of developing direct air communication, liberalizing the visa regime, and enhancing trade-economic relations and business contacts between the two countries.

The interlocutors also discussed the possibilities for exporting Armenian products to the markets of Albania and the Western Balkans.
