Armenia's foreign trade turnover in January-May 2026 amounted to $7.86 billion. The leading partner is Russia

Armenia's foreign trade has decreased by 0.06%

In January-May 2026, Armenia's foreign trade turnover amounted to $7.86 billion, which is a decrease of $4.9 million or 0.06% compared to the comparable figure for 2025. This is reported by the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

Armenia's largest trading partner remains Russia, with trade turnover between the two countries amounting to $2.195 billion during the mentioned period. Compared to the comparable figure for 2025, there was a decline of 20.51% or $566.8 million.

China ranks second, with $1.177 billion, an increase of 23.09%. Iran completes the top three with $306.1 million, an increase of 9.71%.

The UAE ranks fourth with $252.4 million, a decrease of 71.79%. Germany is in fifth place with $243 million, an increase of 33.88%. The USA ranks sixth with $198.7 million, an increase of 28.2%. Italy is seventh with $188 million, an increase of 15.98%. Iraq is in eighth place with $148.2 million, an increase of 13.54%. Georgia ranks ninth with $109.4 million, an increase of 7.34%. Switzerland completes the top ten with $84.6 million, an increase of 11.84%.

Regarding country groups, trade with the CIS countries decreased by 17.06% and amounted to $2.456 billion, of which trade with the EAEU countries amounted to $2.338 billion, a decrease of 19.01%.

Trade with EU countries increased by 45.22% and amounted to $1.355 billion, while trade volume with other countries increased by 1.97% and amounted to $4.053 billion.
