The Minister of Economy of Armenia, Gevorg Papoyan, reported that from June 1 to July 19, 2023, Armenia exported 7.6 thousand tons of apricots. This amounts to about 380 trucks.
He noted that the geography of exports is quite broad. Papoyan also addressed recent circulating information suggesting that apricots supplied to the Spanish market had spoiled, emphasizing that Armenia did not export apricots to either Spain or Portugal.
It is worth noting that due to the restrictions imposed by Russia on the export of agricultural products and flowers from Armenia to the markets of EAEU countries, the government has developed several support programs aimed at boosting exports to European markets.
