YEREVAN, July 25. /ARKA/. Armenia's Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan and Iran's Vice President, head of the Planning and Budget Organization Seyed Hamid Pourmohammadi discussed the development of bilateral economic and infrastructure cooperation:

According to IRNA, Pourmohammadi emphasized the need to consolidate previously reached agreements into a coordinated plan. Among the priority areas, he mentioned the expansion of trade relations, the development of the Norduz border crossing, the construction of a second bridge, the regulation of road tolls, and the acceleration of the completion of the third power line between Armenia and Iran:
He noted that the transfer of the functions of co-chairman of the Armenian-Iranian intergovernmental commission to the Planning and Budget Organization indicates the importance Tehran attaches to its relations with Armenia:
Pourmohammadi also expressed the organization's readiness to assist in resolving issues arising during the implementation of joint projects. He stressed the need to hold the next meeting of the intergovernmental commission in the near future:
The Iranian Vice President described Armenia as one of the important neighbors of the country and stated that there are opportunities to expand cooperation in various sectors of the economy:
Khudatyan, for his part, positively assessed the progress of joint projects and confirmed the Armenian side's readiness to develop relations with Iran in various directions:
The minister also proposed measures to accelerate and simplify the implementation of the project for the construction of the third power line Armenia-Iran:
