The Prosecutor's Office is returning public goods to communities: illegally privatized gardens, parks, and forest areas.
The Prosecutor General's Office reports that for many years, numerous community gardens, parks, and forest areas have been privatized in various ways in violation of the law, resulting in previously accessible green spaces for citizens becoming private territories, violating citizens' right to live in a favorable environment.
"The Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia, within the framework of its constitutional powers to protect state and community interests, has been consistently working for the past 4 years to return these areas to communities.
The goal of the Prosecutor's work to return public goods to society is not only to restore legal justice. It is also to restore every citizen's right to public spaces," the Prosecutor General's Office stated.
