The Anti-Corruption Court, on July 23, 2026, granted the Prosecutor's Office's claim, ruling to recover 1 billion 150 million 584 thousand drams from the director V.A. of two companies in favor of the Republic of Armenia as compensation for damages caused to the state.

The Department for the Protection of State Interests of the Prosecutor's Office filed a lawsuit in the Anti-Corruption Court against V.A. for the recovery of 1 billion 150 million 584 thousand drams in damages caused to the state.
The basis of the claim was that on March 17, 2026, the first instance criminal court of general jurisdiction in Yerevan found V.A. guilty of committing an offense under parts 1 and 2 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code.
Specifically, V.A., being a participant and executive body head of two companies, in preliminary agreement with the person who actually took over the management of those companies, having the obligation to calculate and fulfill tax obligations in accordance with the Tax Code, in order to evade paying taxes in particularly large amounts of 1 billion 150 million 584 thousand drams, included false data in the calculations of the monthly income tax and social payments, value-added tax, and excise tax, as a result of which he evaded paying 584 million 864 thousand drams in income tax, 553 million 825 thousand drams in value-added tax, and 11 million 894 thousand drams in profit tax to the state budget.
