The 'LUYS' Foundation has analyzed the socio-economic developments in Armenia's economy for the first half of 2026:
- In June 2026, a slowdown in economic activity growth was observed, decreasing from 11.7% in May to 7.7%: For January-June, the growth rate was 7.9%, with services, industry, and construction contributing 3.8, 3.0, and 1.7 percentage points respectively.
- The agriculture sector recorded an 11.9% decline: This decline may also be influenced by export restrictions imposed by Russia.
- The dynamics of external trade worsened in June: Exports decreased by 20.5%, while imports increased by 8.6%.
- High growth in budget revenues has been maintained: For January-June, budget revenues increased by 14.7%.
- Inflationary and credit developments require ongoing attention: In June, the 12-month inflation accelerated to 5.1%.
