The Minister of Economy of Armenia, Georgy Papoyan, met on July 23 with the US Chargé d'Affaires in Armenia, David Allen, and the head of the economic and commercial section of the US Embassy, Edward Eickler. During the meeting, the parties reaffirmed that economic cooperation between Armenia and the USA is developing dynamically, noting the positive progress recorded recently.
They also discussed issues related to the process of granting Armenia the status of a market economy country (SME) by the USA. The minister expressed confidence that the established effective cooperation would contribute to the consistent advancement of the process and the further development of a mutually beneficial economic agenda.
