Economy Minister Georgy Papoyan met on July 23 with the Chargé d'Affaires of the USA in Armenia, David Allen, and the head of the economic and trade section of the US Embassy, Edward Eichler. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy.
“During the meeting, the parties reaffirmed that economic cooperation between Armenia and the USA is developing dynamically, noting the positive progress recorded recently.
They also discussed issues related to the process of granting Armenia the status of a market economy country (MEC) by the USA.
The minister expressed confidence that the established effective cooperation would contribute to the consistent advancement of the process and the further development of the mutually interesting economic agenda,” the statement said.
