On July 28, Ombudsman Anahit Manasyan received Claudia Bush, the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Armenia. Welcoming the ambassador, the Ombudsman expressed gratitude for the high level of cooperation established with the institution, emphasizing the importance of constructive dialogue between the parties in the field of human rights protection and promotion.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a range of key issues related to human rights protection, addressing the protection of human rights in electoral processes, the practice of detention, the rights of forcibly displaced and missing persons, as well as issues related to the prevention of hate speech and several other problems.
Ambassador Claudia Bush thanked for the warm reception and the comprehensive presentation of the work carried out, emphasizing the importance of continuing dialogue and cooperation for the protection and promotion of human rights.
