YEREVAN, August 3. /ARKA/. Garik Boshyan has been appointed as the manager of the Yerevan Brandy-Wine-Vodka Factory 'Ararat', reported Gevorg Papoyan, the acting Minister of Economy of Armenia.
He also reminded that based on the request of the General Prosecutor's Office and the decision of the Anti-Corruption Court, the company's shares were transferred to the management and custody of the Republic of Armenia through the Ministry of Economy.
Earlier, the General Prosecutor's Office reported that this decision was made on July 30, 2026, as part of a case regarding the confiscation of property of presumed illegal origin.
As stated by the Prosecutor's Office, on October 9, 2023, a lawsuit was filed against Gagik Tsarukyan and related persons demanding the confiscation of property of illegal origin.
Among other things, the prosecution demands the state to seize Tsarukyan's shares in the Yerevan Brandy-Wine-Vodka Factory. The total amount of monetary claims is 105 billion 865 million 865 thousand drams.
The owner of the Multi Group holding and leader of the 'Prosperous Armenia' party, Gagik Tsarukyan, has been in custody since July 7.
