Ford Motor's net profit increased 2.8 times in the first half of the year

Net profit attributable to Ford Motor shareholders reached $1.221 billion

The net profit attributable to shareholders of the American automotive giant Ford Motor Co. increased 2.8 times year-on-year to $1.221 billion in the first half of 2026. This was reported in the company's press release.

The diluted earnings per share rose to $0.30, compared to $0.11 a year earlier. Revenue for the six-month period increased by 0.8% to $91.549 billion.

At the same time, the net loss attributable to shareholders in the second quarter increased nearly 37 times, amounting to $1.327 billion. The diluted loss per share rose to $0.33 from $0.01 a year ago.

The company's adjusted diluted earnings per share in the second quarter were $0.42, up from $0.37 a year earlier. This figure exceeded analysts' expectations of $0.35.

Quarterly revenue fell by 3.8% to $48.296 billion, while the market had expected a figure of $47.51 billion.

After the close of the main trading session, Ford's shares rose by 3.54% on U.S. exchanges.

It is worth noting that Ford Motor Company was founded in 1903 by Henry Ford, who received $28,000 from five investors to develop the business. The company gained worldwide recognition as the first automaker to widely implement the classic assembly line production system.
