FIFA to Record a Record $15 Billion Revenue from World Cup 2026

Revenue from hotel services and ticket resales drives growth

FIFA will announce a record revenue of $15 billion from the 2026 World Cup, significantly exceeding the projected $11 billion income, according to The Guardian.

The main growth has been driven by revenues from hotel services and ticket resales (on the secondary market, FIFA receives 15% from the buyer and 15% from the seller). Additional funds are likely to be directed to football associations.

Tickets for the final match between Spain and Argentina in New Jersey have been sold for $34,500 per person.
