Acting General Director of Yerevan Metro Babken Sedrakyan received a delegation led by Iranian Ambassador Khalil Shirgholami and Tehran Deputy Mayor Davoud Goudarzi.
The meeting focused on opportunities to expand bilateral cooperation between the Yerevan and Tehran metro systems. The sides discussed current projects and possible practical formats for joint work.
The Iranian side presented the history of the creation and development of Tehran Metro, along with its technical capabilities and projects currently being implemented in the sector.
The delegation said it was ready to contribute its expertise and services in several areas, particularly tunnel construction, railcar manufacturing and other fields related to metro infrastructure.
Sedrakyan, for his part, outlined ongoing and planned projects at Yerevan Metro, the progress of infrastructure modernization and upcoming development initiatives.
