The Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development (EFSD) forecasts that Armenia's GDP will grow by 5.5% in 2026. This is stated in the summer update of the Regional Economic Overview (REO) of the EFSD, which updates the growth estimates for the economies of the region's countries for 2026-2028.
The EFSD report notes that the slowdown in economic activity at the beginning of the year was mainly due to unforeseen one-off factors, including a decline in construction activity in Russia due to a snowier winter and a downturn in Armenia's financial sector.
According to the EFSD's estimates, a rebound is expected in the second quarter, with Armenia's GDP growth projected at 5.5%, slightly lower than previously forecasted.
