A seminar organized by the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and the ASEAN Secretariat was held, focusing on the technical regulation systems in EAEU and ASEAN countries.
The Director of the Technical Regulation and Accreditation Department of the EEC, Serik Kusaikov, noted that joint seminars help harmonize approaches and provide foreign partners with the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the practical experience of applying product requirements in the countries of the Eurasian 'five'.
During the seminar, food safety requirements within the EAEU and ASEAN frameworks were also discussed.
The parties addressed issues related to the authorization of goods circulation in the union market, as well as the oversight of compliance with product safety requirements in the EAEU.
At the end of the event, the parties agreed to continue the dialogue.
