Net inflow of money transfers to Armenia from abroad increased approximately 2.3 times in the first half of 2026

In the first half of 2026, Armenia received $1.38 billion in money transfers

YEREVAN, August 3. /ARKA/ The net inflow of cross-border transfers to individuals in Armenia from abroad through the banking system of the Republic of Armenia in January-June 2026 amounted to $1.38 billion, compared to $587.6 million in January-June 2025, according to a report by the Central Bank of the Republic.

This indicator increased 2.34 times year-on-year.

In June alone, the net inflow of money transfers amounted to $292.5 million, compared to $75.9 million in May of last year.

The inflow of cross-border transfers to individuals in Armenia from abroad through the banking system of the Republic for the first half of this year amounted to $3.57 billion, compared to $2.76 billion for the same six months last year.

Among the leaders in transfers to Armenia are Russia with $2.42 billion and the USA with $399.7 million. Russia and the USA were also the leaders in transfers to Armenia for the reporting period of 2025 ($1.77 billion and $327.6 million, respectively).

At the same time, the outflow of transfers from individuals in Armenia to abroad through the banking system of the Republic in the first half of 2026 amounted to $2.19 billion, compared to $2.17 billion in the same period of 2025.

For transfers from Armenia abroad in the reporting months, the leaders were the USA ($340.7 million) and the UAE ($307.5 million). In January-June 2025, the leaders were the UAE ($343.5 million) and Switzerland ($343.3 million).
