Armenia Marriott has initiated an internal investigation following reports of illness after a reception at the French Embassy.
“As one of the catering providers for the recent event at the French Embassy, we are deeply concerned about the reported cases of illness,” said Susanna Musaelyan, the sales and marketing director of Armenia Marriott.
She emphasized that the health, safety, and well-being of guests and clients are top priorities for the hotel.
“Upon receiving information about the cases, we began an internal investigation, and samples of food prepared in our kitchen have been sent for laboratory testing,” Musaelyan stated.
Earlier, the Armenian Food Safety Inspection Authority announced an upcoming inspection of Armenia Marriott.
According to the agency, 10 individuals sought medical attention with a diagnosis of “acute intestinal infection” after attending the reception on July 14.
An inspection will be conducted at Armenia Marriott, with results expected to be published after the investigation is completed.
