YEREVAN, July 13. /ARKA/. The week in Armenia's financial market was influenced by rising annual inflation and activity in the government and corporate securities market.
1. Inflation: annual rate reached 5.1% in June
The Statistical Committee of Armenia reported that the 12-month inflation in June 2026 was 5.1%. Compared to May, consumer prices decreased by 0.5%.
2. Currency market: dollar rate remained around 367 drams
The official exchange rate of the US dollar for the working week of July 6-10 changed from 367.47 drams to 367.38 drams.
3. Financial compliance: Armenia moved to enhanced monitoring mode by MONEYVAL
The MONEYVAL Committee of the Council of Europe published a report on July 9 regarding the sixth round of mutual evaluation of Armenia's anti-money laundering system.
4. Government bonds: operations worth 78 billion drams conducted on AMX
On the Armenian Stock Exchange, an auction for the placement of government bonds worth 70 billion drams took place on July 7.
5. Capital market: stock market capitalization exceeded 492 billion drams
According to AMX, the capitalization of Armenia's stock market at the end of June amounted to over 492.7 billion drams.
6. Corporate bonds: EBRD issued a floating-rate dram bond
On the AMX platform, coupon bonds of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development were issued.
7. Institutional investors: share of non-residents in dram bonds increased to 10%
Investments by non-residents in dram bonds nearly doubled from January to May 2026 compared to the same period last year.
8. Inflation environment: Central Bank identified five key factors
A member of the Central Bank of Armenia's Council, Armen Kotoyan, named five key factors influencing inflation in the country.
