On July 21, Deputy Minister of Economy Arman Khojoyan participated in a workshop organized jointly by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia and the UN office in Armenia, focusing on the strategic priorities and action planning for the development of agriculture over the next three years.
During the workshop, the framework for Armenia-UN sustainable development cooperation for 2026-2030 was discussed, along with the main directions of the strategic documents of the Government of Armenia, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN, and the World Food Programme for 2026-2030.
The importance of continuing cooperation to promote innovative, sustainable, and climate-resilient agriculture in Armenia was emphasized.
The significance of forming a competitive and inclusive agricultural system that would strengthen the country’s food security and support sustainable rural development was also highlighted.
Additionally, the workshop addressed the upcoming 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), scheduled to take place in Armenia from October 18 to 30, and the planned event focusing on biodiversity and agriculture.
