Arman Barseghyan, the director of retail banking at Ameriabank, stated that Armenia's capital market will continue to grow rapidly, which will positively impact the development of the economy. According to him, the transparency of the economy and the exit of businesses from the shadow contribute to the development of the capital market.
Barseghyan reminded that Ameriabank issued and fully placed perpetual bonds worth $100 million for the first time this year in June. He noted that as the economy develops, the demand for capital market instruments is increasing.
“As the economy develops, the income of the population grows, and there is already a segment ready to invest in various capital market instruments,” he said.
Ameriabank, part of the Lion Finance Group, was included in the FTSE 100 index in March 2026, becoming the first Armenian company represented among the 100 largest companies on the London Stock Exchange.
