Ararat Cement Plant Resumes Production Process

Deputy Minister of Economy Visits the Plant

The Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia, Edgar Zakaryan, visited the Ararat Cement Plant and got acquainted with the organization of the production process on-site. He was accompanied by the plant's general director during the tour.

According to Armenpress, this was reported by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia.

Edgar Zakaryan expressed the ministry's readiness to assist in resolving any obstacles that may arise during the plant's production activities.

Referring to the process of restoring the plant's operations, the deputy minister noted that a smooth and continuous production process is crucial for maintaining industrial potential and stimulating economic activity.

It is noteworthy that the operations of the Ararat Cement Plant were suspended on July 6 due to a criminal case involving the plant's owner, businessman and leader of the Prosperous Armenia party, Gagik Tsarukyan. On July 6, law enforcement conducted searches at Gagik Tsarukyan's residence and at the enterprises owned by him, including the Ararat Cement Plant. On July 9, Deputy Minister of Economy Edgar Zakaryan visited the Ararat Cement Plant, met with the management, and subsequently informed journalists that the plant would resume operations on July 10.
