Araik Arutyunyan, representing the ruling party of Armenia, the 'Civil Contract', has been dismissed from the position of head of the Prime Minister's office. This decision was signed by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
According to the government's press service, the deputy head of the Prime Minister's office Taron Chakhoyan and the press secretary of the Prime Minister Nazeli Baghdasaryan have also been dismissed from their positions.
Arutyunyan had held the position since June 2021. Following the parliamentary elections on June 7, 2026, he was elected as a member of parliament.
Previously, Nikol Pashinyan announced that the new head of the Prime Minister's office would be the former Armenian ambassador to the USA, Lilit Makunts, and the new press secretary would be Melania Arutyunyan.
