Apple is considering the possibility of creating new smart glasses that will not have a camera due to concerns about user privacy, Bloomberg reports.
According to the source, Apple is developing several versions of smart glasses. One version may use a camera only for data collection and the operation of artificial intelligence tools, but will not have photography and video recording functions. The other option involves the release of glasses completely without a camera. At the same time, the devices will retain the ability to make calls and listen to audio.
The company is expected to present the smart glasses in June 2027 at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). Mass production is planned to start at the end of the same year.
