By the decision of the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, Anushik Avetyan has been appointed as the head of the Tourism Committee of the RA Ministry of Economy.
The Ministry of Economy of the RA has published the biography of Anushik Avetyan:
Born on July 23, 1987, in Martuni. 2013-2015: Institute of Public Relations of Georgia, Caucasus School of Media Management, Tbilisi, Master's degree in Journalism. 2008-2010: Yerevan State University, Faculty of History, Department of Cultural Studies, Master's degree in Cultural Studies. 2004-2008: Yerevan State University, Faculty of History, Department of Cultural Studies, Bachelor's degree in Cultural Studies.
Appointed as the head of the Tourism Committee of the RA Ministry of Economy on September 2, 2026.
2025-2026: Deputy Minister of Economy of the RA. Coordinated Armenia's international economic cooperation agenda, including collaboration with multilateral development institutions, bilateral partners, and international organizations.
2024-2025: Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Armenia. Represented the interests of the organization and its members in relations with the RA government, the US government, international and diplomatic institutions, the business community, and the Chamber's international network.
2021-2023: Advisor to the Director of the Asian Development Bank, Manila.
2021: Assistant to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
2016-2021: Coordinator of External Relations at the Armenian Office of the Asian Development Bank.
2015-2016: Communication Specialist at the Eurasia Cooperation Foundation.
Married with two sons. Fluent in English and Russian.
