Analyst Tigran Dumikyan stated that the problem with the speech of the new speaker of the Armenian parliament of the 9th convocation, Ruben Rubinyan, lies in the one-sided interpretation of the causes of the political crisis.
In his speech, Rubinyan emphasized the need to restore parliamentary political culture, but according to Dumikyan, he is trying to place the roots of parliamentary tension solely on the fact that the opposition did not recognize the election results.
“The reasons that led to parliamentary tension cannot be viewed solely as a consequence of the opposition's decision,” Dumikyan noted.
He added that political contradictions deepened against the backdrop of events that had severe consequences for national issues, such as the defeat in the 44-day war of 2020.
Dumikyan believes that Rubinyan's call to restore parliamentary culture is more an attempt to influence public perception than an acknowledgment of the real causes of the crisis.
