Ameriabank's Retail Banking Results for the First Half of 2026

Ameriabank's customer base has surpassed 900,000

On July 28, during a press conference, Arman Barseghyan, the director of retail banking at Ameriabank, presented the results for the first half of 2026 in the retail banking sector, along with achievements from recent years, development priorities, and upcoming programs.

Barseghyan noted that the number of Ameriabank customers has surpassed 900,000. It is noteworthy that the average growth rate of the customer base over the last five years has been 23.41%, and in the last two years, the customer base has doubled.

Alongside the expansion of the customer base, there has also been a significant increase in customer digital activity, with an average growth rate of active users in the digital domain of 55.81% over the last five years.

As of June 30, 2026, Ameriabank's retail banking deposit portfolio exceeded 1 trillion 30 billion AMD. Notably, the portfolio of term deposits has increased by 19% since the beginning of the year, reaching 423 billion AMD, while the portfolio of demand deposits grew by 18%, reaching 446 billion AMD (as of June 30, 2026).

The retail loan portfolio of Ameriabank has increased by more than 10% since the beginning of the year, exceeding 800 billion AMD as of June 30, 2026, including a 12% increase in the mortgage loan portfolio, which surpassed 400 billion AMD.

As of June 30, 2026, Ameriabank's bond portfolio amounted to 160 billion AMD. Notably, this year Ameriabank fully placed its first-ever perpetual bonds worth 100 million USD, strengthening the bank's capital position and diversifying funding sources.

Barseghyan also presented new features of the MyAmeria app, as well as the MyHome, MyCar, MyInvest, and MyBusiness platforms, upcoming programs, and initiatives in digitalization and the use of artificial intelligence.

In addition to the development and improvement of digital platforms, Ameriabank is also paying great attention to expanding its branch network to be closer to customers in their communities. Specifically, this year, the first branches of Ameriabank have already opened in the Ararat region and the Norq-Maras administrative district of Yerevan, with two more branches expected to open by the end of the year, specifically for the bank's Premium and Partner status customers.
