AMD has announced that Microsoft will deploy the Helios system in its Azure data centers, marking its first competitor to Nvidia's systems.
Helios is AMD's first rack-scale system designed for artificial intelligence, and it will be shipped to customers, including Microsoft, later this year.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella stated that the Helios system will help customers build and run next-generation AI applications.
The Helios system is aimed at Microsoft’s AI customers and will support Azure AI services.
AMD expects that Helios will help them start booking AI revenue in data centers beginning in 2027.
