Violations Discovered in the Installation and Operation of Solar Plants

Violations have been discovered in the installation and operation processes of solar plants, which have caused significant damage to the legal interests of the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) over the years. This was reported by the temporary manager of ENA, Romanos Petrosyan, on his Facebook page:

“Recent studies conducted among about three dozen autonomous solar energy producers, initiated by ENA, revealed apparent violations among 16 producers, indicating systematic breaches of laws and established regulations by them:

Checks carried out by the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) revealed that the actual capacities of some consumers, classified as autonomous energy producers with installed capacities ranging from 150 kW to 500 kW, do not match the declared capacities, exceeding permissible norms by 3-4 times:

Thus, since 2022, several autonomous energy producers have violated the requirements of technical regulations and the licensing mechanism for electricity supply, negatively impacting the quality of supplied electricity:

According to preliminary estimates, the apparent financial damage caused to ENA's legal interests in this regard amounts to about 2 billion AMD:
