Wildberries and Sellers' Losses Approach 10 Billion Dollars

According to Forbes, losses are estimated at 600–800 billion rubles

The potential total losses for Wildberries and sellers are estimated at 600–800 billion rubles (around 9.54 billion dollars). This information comes from Forbes.

According to Sergey Semko, a leading analyst at the research agency Data Insight, the cost of restoring warehouses and infrastructure could range from 147.1 to 223.1 billion rubles, and if complete dismantling of the area, waste removal, and reclamation are necessary, costs could rise to between 169.2 and 278.9 billion rubles. Additionally, potential losses for sellers are preliminarily estimated to be between 445 and 507.8 billion rubles.

By August 10, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak had instructed to develop support measures for entrepreneurs affected by attacks on Wildberries warehouses. No ideas had been reported by that deadline. However, as Forbes has learned, a meeting took place in the State Duma with affected sellers, representatives of marketplaces, deputies, and officials, where support measures were discussed. Sellers are seeking not only one-time compensations and tax benefits but also to hold platforms accountable for the products entrusted to them.
