EBRD Issues 5 Billion Dram Floating Rate Bonds in Armenia

New EBRD Investment Initiative in Armenia

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is issuing floating rate bonds worth 5 billion AMD in Armenia. This is another investment initiative by the EBRD in the Armenian capital market aimed at developing financial instruments in local currency, expanding financing opportunities, and deepening the financial market of Armenia.

The issuance is scheduled for July 7, 2026, on the Armenian Stock Exchange (AMX) through an auction.

The placement agent is Converse Bank, a leading player in Armenia's capital market that has conducted several corporate bond placements in recent years.

The issuance of AMD bonds by the EBRD is another important project for the Bank, highlighting its expertise and specialization in organizing capital market transactions and investment solutions.

The maturity period for these bonds is 36 months, with a floating coupon rate linked to the yield of 6-month Armenian government bonds.

The issuance of AMD bonds by the EBRD is significant for Armenia's financial system, contributing to the development of the capital market in AMD.
