In the first half of 2026, potato exports from Georgia decreased by nearly 5 times, local media reports.
The country earned 4 million 879 thousand dollars from potato sales, while the total export volume was 18,414 tons. The decrease was 81.5%.
This year, Azerbaijan became the main market for potato sales, where 11,777 tons of product worth 2.2 million dollars were sold, followed by Russia (1.4 million dollars, 3,422 tons).
Belarus ranked third with a figure of 942,000 dollars (2,126 tons), while Armenia ranked fifth (195,000 dollars).
